REVIT TO ARCHICAD

RYANBENTLEY
Newcomer

Hi, I'm using ArchiCAD 26 and was wondering about the best way to import a Revit file into my ArchiCAD.. I have saved the Revit file as a IFC and tried to import it however some parts are missing and the Topo is completely off, plus doesn't import everything including context buildings..

Anyone know?

Hi @RYANBENTLEY,

I thibng the best way to do it is through IFC, but you should check the optimized IFC Model Exchange with Archicad and Revit free Add-in (download link). It has three functions:

  • “Improved IFC Import” imports IFC models to Revit using extra features that improve the interpretation of architectural models.
  • “Link IFC” merges IFC models into the current Revit project as a non-editable reference.
  • “Export to Archicad” exports Revit model elements in IFC files that are specially enhanced for use in Graphisoft Archicad.
