Schedule Subtype

Anonymous
Not applicable
This is kind of a GDL question.
I want to schedule signage that I have used a subtype on my door object.
In the schedule there is an option to schedule a subtype, however I cannot get this working.
Has anyone been able to successfully schedule a subtype?

In your schedule criteria you will need element type is object AND subtype name is insert_name_here

But if your signs are placed in the elevations or sections then the schedules will not see them.
They must be in the plan (or 3D).

I think I am getting confused how the scheduling subtype works.

What I have done in my GDL script is 'call' a subtype (in this case called WEB Sign) in my door object (so I think I would need to select door as element type)

I was hoping I could schedule door and subtype WEB Sign.
Doesn't seem to work showing the parameters.

I think I am hoping to do something that isn't possible

If the signed is called in as part of your door object then you will not be able to schedule that separately.
I think the best you could do is to schedule an 'additional parameter' to get the sign type (name) if you select it via a parameter in your door.
