Solved: Graphisoft MEP Elements Missing During DWG Export Due to Work Environment Profile

After spending several hours troubleshooting a DWG export issue in Archicad 27, I discovered that the problem was not related to the DWG Translator, Publisher, or the Graphisoft MEP Library itself. Projects containing Graphisoft MEP Library elements (such as Pipes, Ducts, Pipe Fittings, and MEP Equipment) either exported without the MEP elements or failed with the message: "Publishing of the item failed because Archicad was unable to generate it." Although all elements were displayed correctly in the Floor Plan, they disappeared only after exporting to DWG. After extensive testing, I found that the root cause was the active Work Environment Profile. When using an Architectural Profile, Archicad failed to properly generate the MEP elements during DWG export. Switching the profile to Options → Work Environment → Apply Profile → MEP Engineering Profile 27 immediately resolved the issue, and all MEP elements were exported correctly using both Save As and Publisher. This solution was verified through repeated testing by switching between the Architectural Profile and the MEP Engineering Profile, with consistent results. I hope this helps anyone facing the same problem. If you have experienced a similar issue or discovered another solution, I'd be happy to hear about your experience. Please share your findings in the comments so we can continue expanding the Archicad community's knowledge base.
