So I heard from a colleague- that she had a colleague that had a way to show door and window markers in 3D and in Elevation- Any Ideas?
Anyone else figured out how to do this?
Willing to share?

I am not sure about the elevation markers in 3D but you can show them in elevations. Here is the thread.

Jess,
you need to "label" the door/window for elevation views...you will probably need a custom label for this purpose.

As far as 3d goes, you can't currently do this for 3d views.

OK- I can't figure it out- how do I create a custom label?
And also- how do I creat a custom Marker?

Hi,

Here I am uploading two Label Markers

1) Window Label Marker
2) Door Label Marker.

These markers are from ArchiCAD 9.0 Library. Here is how you should use (incase you don't know how to use).

Go the elevation window, Select your door/window.

1) Go to the Door/Window properties window and go to "Listing and Labeling" Tab. Check the Label Door check box.

2) Select the Label Tool, select the door tool in the list and load the respective marker.

3) This should place a Label Marker near the door, you can go to "Symbol Label" tab in the Label Marker properties dialog to play around.

Hope this helps you.

OK- Well-
Thank You for the labels.
Things I do not get:

How do I make it NOT have a pointer? I can't seem to find where to turn that off.

When I go to my Window Selection settings > Labeling > I do not see in there where to find my labels that I made. I see some other options in there- but not the ones I want.

Also- I put labels on my windows- and when I switched views- they were lost.
Any Ideas on that?

In my label tool- I dont see any of my options I see in the Window Settings Dialogue box and Vice versa.

Im so confused.

Thank You Again-
I didn't really change anything, but, my labels are showing back up.

How do I make custom markers for my doors? Or is there a setting I am missing so that I can put a horizontal line through my circle?

Okay- Alright-

-*- I now have a "Division" Line showing on my Door Label.

-*- But Still: I got my leader to be no more for my Window Labels, but I can not get rid of it for my Door Label.....

Anyone notice that I have been trying to do this basically All Day?!
