converting third party solids into archicad format

can anyone help regarding the conversion of 3d mechanical cad data into a suitable format for importing into Archicad. I can output IGES files

I suggest to try the Polytrans (third party) software at www.okino.com.
It's not that cheap, but it's one of the best solutions.

I noticed ArchiCAD 9.0 can import AutoCAD DWG-solids (using a trick).
