I downloaded some 3d models from this website.

How do i make it so that I can use it in archicad? i assume its the xxxx.3ds file, but I dont know where to place it on my hard disk so that it appears in archicad.

You have to use the 3DS In Add-On in ArchiCAD to import 3DS files:
