Fill in Elevation View

How do I apply/see a finish,fill pattern in my elevation rather than just blank surfaces I want my elevations to show brick work on walls/ roof styles (corrugated iron) and colorbond fencing Not in colour but black/grey and white

In your elevation settings you need to set the uncut surfaces to show "own surface colours".

The color is set under Surface Settings > Engine Settings: Internal Engine (or OpenGL) > Exposure to Light > Surface Color.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
