Through Project Indexes, you can now find unused views and select them directly from a list of your project views. (Roadmap).
This simplifies project organization, as you can quickly clean up your projects from unneeded views and rediscover hard-to-find views in the project without having to manually search for them.
NOTE: This feature is available starting with Archicad 29.
Here's how you can filter unused views in Archicad:
Go to Documentation > Project Indexes > 01 Views.
Click on Index Settings open (top-right corner of the displayed table).
Here, two new parameters can be added both as criteria and as fields to the list:
With the following criteria, you can find views that are not used in documentation, i.e., neither placed on a layout nor added to a Publisher Set:
Under Fields, all other desired parameters can then be added. The Project Index list then displays all filtered views.
Using the Select and Open Views button, you can open the desired View directly from the chart.
Clicking on the Select in Navigator button, will allow you to highlight the View the Navigator.
NOTE: Certain views, may not be used in documentation but are still needed for the project, e.g., 3D views for renderings. Therefore, always check whether the view is not needed before deleting it from the View Map. Deleted views cannot be restored, so we recommend you to create a copy of the current project state before deleting any views.
