Hi,

I have the RCP and I am trying to level dimension the underside of the ceiling. However it keeps telling the upper side level of the ceiling.

Something is wrong but I am not sure which one.

Please help

Thank you

Hello,

I do not know what a RCP but did you set your ceiling tile like this ?

To be sure that the reference level of your ceiling is relative to its underside.

Unless you have an extra slab for your ceiling, I wouldn't change its reference line. If you have just one slab between your stories and you fix your ceiling plans by changing the reference line, it will mess up your level dimensions on regular plans.

And I'm not sure if the Level Dimension Tool was really meant for dimensioning undersides (in RCPs for example).

I use Label tool with Associative Geometry Method. There, you can specify what you want to show - in your case "underside".
Hello,

Thanks about these informations.
I allways model "extra slab" for my ceilings so my solution suits me.

So I invite you to ajust your zone to read its height into its stamp
Or do an expression (with Archicad 22 or 23) like this :
