Text Sizing

Is the text pt size used in Archicad 10 the same as in a ms word document file? I find that in order to emulate the real print size of 55 pt font in a word document that I have to use a 30 pt font in archicad. I checked the scale it's at 100% I know I can change the scale of the drawings placed in the Archicad 10 plotmaker layouts. But I'm wondering if this relates to the scale of the layout book pages itself?. If so I cannot figure where to change this as it does not allow me to do so in the master layouts.

Thank you,
Santy Yeh

because most applications have adopted the postscript standard measurement of font height: whereby the height is measured from the bottom of the lowest descender to the top of the highest capital. but archicad simply uses the height of a full capital letter (M?). it makes an archicad font size about 1.5x larger than postscript font sizes. or something like that!

i seem to recall ransom ratcliff wrote something about this a while ago. check the wiki?
