Windows / Doors in Elevation changing appearance for apparently no reason!

Can anyone explain why occasionally windows and doors in elevation will change from the correctly shown windows on ground floor to the windows on the first? They were showing correctly, then I changed the wall type on both stories, and ground floor windows have stayed correct, but the first floor windows have changed to this now...

After this happening so many times, I just had a lightbulb moment and realised the windows had flipped. Problem solved!
