How to handle GDL REQUEST command in add-ons?

Maybe someone could shed some light on how to handle GDL REQUEST command in add-ons?

In GDL Reference manual we have:
REQUEST (extension_name, parameter_string, variable1, variable2, … )

I would like my custom GDL Objects to communicate with my add-on and I think this command is the only way to implement such functionality.

This only provides an interface to GDL add-ons, which are not developed with the API devkit, but with a different devkit. Even with that, there is no communication between the GDL object (via the add-on) and the primary ArchiCAD database.
