Ever so soften, (Apple M2 Max MACOS 15.6.1 (24G90)) the mouse loses all ability to interact within the archicad window. You can still drag the application window around, you can select plot layouts from the navigation menu and double click to bring up, but the layout doesn't appear. Right click rebuild etc is available as a pop-up menu but nothing happens. 3d Window no controls work, but you can double click on the zoom to extents palette and the previous zoom. So it seems like anything on a pallet or drop down menus will operate but selection of model elements or interaction is gone. No cursor, no object detection etc. Restart is the only fix, sometimes a complete computer restart.
Except, after leaving alone for a few minutes, selection has returned but gives the yellow box message below:

It looks to me as if your selection tool (Arrow) is in sub element selection mode.
This only works with morph elements.
Try switching back to standard selection.

Yep sure, except the mouse wouldn't accept any tool selections or palletes. Had to restart to restore functions...

Hi @JOHN WR, What kind of mouse are you using and what driver do you have installed on your Mac, just in case that might be the problem for you ?
I had problems with my wireless CADmouse driver on my Mac and had to download a patch from the manufacturer and install it to get my mouse to work properly.
Could be a number of things when trouble shooting problems like these ?

We have this same problem in our office. Happens to everyone, and has been like this in many versions of Archicad - we get it currently in both Mac AC27 and 28. both arm and intel. if you wait a while, control *usually* comes back eventually, but its a time waster and source of frustration when running to a deadline. happens to me usually at least once a day.
Seems like its been a very long standing bug they have not dealt with.
This one would be close to the top of my wish list of fixes.
Ben

Have you forwarded this issue to your local reseller? First I have heard of it... If they can replicate it, the more people who report it, the more likely a fix will be expediated.
Ling.

Will raise it with Central Innovation. I'm surprised it's not on the radar - I don't know anyone who uses archicad, across multiple firms, who doesnt have this issue from time to time.

There was a problem with keyboard shortcuts not working but do not know how mouse is affected. The problem is related to the fact that two different languages are used. There is a fix at the registry for this.
- Open "Regedit" in the Windows start menu
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\GRAPHISOFT\ARCHICAD-64\ARCHICAD-64 19.0.0 INT R1\KeyMode Shortcuts registry key and change the value of it from 0 to 1
