Not applicable
Our inaugural conference takes place on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 May 2010 at Warwick Conferences’ Scarman House, one of the largest residential Training and Conference Centre’s in the UK. The venue is located on the outskirts of Coventry in the Midlands and is very accessible by road, rail and air.

We are pleased to invite you to come along for an experience which will be both informative and enjoyable. Registration with an early booking discount is still available.

The Conference will look at the increasing role of technology and sustainability in the design, construction and efficiency of the Built Environment, including innovative approaches, construction methods and products to meet the challenges that will be faced by the industry over the coming years.

Guest speakers for the weekend include:

- Chris Booker, Sustainable Building Centre (SBC): Product Management Developer who works mostly with sustainable, energy efficient and water saving construction products.

- Andrew Kitching, Approved Design Consultancy: One of only twenty five people accredited to act as an Approved Inspector by the Construction Industry Council. He’s an expert witness in building disputes concerning matters of compliance with building regulations and fire safety.

- Richard Lockwood, Health and Safety Executive: Principle Inspector of Construction, he will provide an insight into Health and Safety legislation in relation to the requirement of carrying out risk assessments and why.

- Simon Windsor, Intel Corporation UK Ltd: Channel Field Sales Engineer will discuss Intel technology for PC and Mac, multi-core processors and the benefits that multi-cores can bring to software applications such as ArchiCAD.

- Rod Hughes, Ad hoc Associates: Rod Hughes formed Ad.hoc Associates to provide specialist environmental design and community development design services.

Please be assured that this is not a sales pitch weekend as we are aiming to provide an educational program to aid your Professional Development, as well as an understanding of forthcoming legislation.

In addition there will be training, hands on sessions, guest lectures and an opportunity to network; we hope everyone will take away useful information from a great experience.
