The Archicad 28.1.0 Update (4001, 4002) is now available for all Full and Solo language versions. You will find the installers in the Updates section of our website.
Archicad 28.1.0 Update
Please note: there are minor changes between the Preview and the Final version of this update. Because of this the build numbers between the two slightly differ, however this won’t cause any compatibility issues for anyone who installed the Preview version. Simply install the final version of the Archicad 28.1.0 Update; the transition has been tested to ensure that it is seamless.
Our latest update consists of important solutions and fixes that enhance design workflows. Because this is an update, it will affect Teamwork compatibility. All users working on the same project should confirm that they have the same update number installed.
What’s new in the Archicad 28.1.0 Update?
In this Update, we introduce several new features related to MEP modeling, documentation, collaboration, and more:
- This Update expands the MEP System Browser and Duct Size Optimization functions, including system management, route selection, custom segments, and additional features like highlighting, collapsing, and expanding items.
- In Archicad 28, we introduced Route Specifications, allowing users to customize generated elements for straights, bends, and branches. In Archicad 28.1.0, this also extends to Transition elements.
- Users can now replace placed Keynotes or add descriptions directly within labels, streamlining Keynote management.
- The compatibility update of our built-in RFA/RVT add-on enables users working with Revit 2025 to import RFA into their Archicad project as well as hotlink, import, and export RVT geometries.
- Archicad 28 introduced easier handling and installation of Updates, Hotfixes, and Update Previews. This Update enhances this workflow by allowing default Work Environment settings for Automatic Download Preference in company-wide network installations and enabling restriction of user modifications via a registry key.
What bugs are fixed in the Archicad 28.1.0 Update?
Below are a few examples of bug fixes that are included in the Archicad 28.1.0 Update:
- The Check for Updates function now correctly notifies users about newly available Library Updates.
- Archicad remains functional when stretching Object Height in 3D, Section, or Elevation views.
- Texts are no longer visible outside of the Drawing's frame.
- Multiple MEP, IFC, and Design option-related matters have been fixed.

Archicad 28 Library Update 2
On the same day, together with the Archicad 28.1.0 Update, we are also releasing the Archicad 28 Library Update 2. You will find the installers in our related Updates page.
This update introduces the following much-anticipated improvements and fixes:
- Multi-selection possibility on the BIMcloud libraries dialog
- Dependency handling of library packages on the BIMcloud server
- MVO Detail Level Override
- Library package name localization
