Dear Community members,
We are pleased to announce the release of Archicad 29 Library Update 1!
This update introduces an exciting refresh of the 2D People library, along with targeted enhancements to support localised standards and improve modelling accuracy.
Key changes include:
2D People Library: The 2D People set has been thoroughly expanded, bringing a fresh level of realism and inclusivity to visual representations. Architects can now portray everyday life with greater authenticity and diversity - reflecting varied human activities, abilities, ethnic backgrounds, and personal identities. The symbols are available in photorealistic, symbolic, and schematic views, and now include a selection of new animal figures as well.
NCS USA Annotation Objects: Key NCS-compliant annotation objects are now available directly in the libpacks. This ensures smoother workflows for U.S. users working with the USA National CAD Standards (NCS).
MVO Opening Type 5 for DACH Doors and Windows: A fifth Opening Type has been added to support garage door configurations such as upward-opening sectional doors and top-hung doors, improving both representation and documentation accuracy.
MEP Schematic Representation Enhancements: We have expanded and refined the schematic representation in the Floorplan by adding and adjusting a wide range of MEP symbols for in-line elements, equipment and fittings for for pipe and ductwork. As a result, many more elements now support the new display mode when switching views. This enhancement makes it easier to read and interpret technical documentation directly within the floor plan. The update also introduces improved tools for creating custom schematic presentations, making it easier for designers to produce clear and standardized MEP documentation.
You can find the installers on our related updates page. To learn more, please see the attached release note.
