Help protect your Graphisoft ID: a quick security check-up

Dear Customers,

Keeping your accounts secure is a shared effort. At Graphisoft, we continuously strengthen the protection of Graphisoft ID, the account you use to access Graphisoft products, services, licenses, and company resources.

We continue to improve how we identify and block suspicious accounts and IP addresses, apply rate limits to authentication requests, and introduce these protections across the products and services where you use your Graphisoft ID.

As part of these ongoing improvements, we have also introduced CAPTCHA protection for suspicious sign-in activity. You can learn more about this and other recent Graphisoft ID security updates in our previous Insights post: Security updates for Graphisoft ID.

Security has come a long way from the familiar advice not to use passwords such as “123456” or your date of birth. Today, it also requires awareness and a few additional safety steps. We believe that we can all work together to better protect accounts, data, and connected resources.

That is why it is always worth talking about security and taking a moment to check whether the right protections are in place. We have prepared a detailed article with recommendations and practical guidance. You can start with the quick check-up below, then explore the full article for more information.

Quick security checklist

Use this checklist to review the security of your Graphisoft ID:

  • Use a long, unique password or passphrase.
  • Store passwords in a reputable password manager.
  • Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) and protect the device you use for authentication.
  • Use only your own Graphisoft ID; do not share it with others.
  • Confirm that the sign-in address is https://id.graphisoft.com
  • Treat unexpected sign-in and password-reset messages with caution.
  • If you believe your credentials may have been exposed, reset your password immediately through the official password-reset page.
  • Keep your devices and software up to date.
  • Contact Graphisoft Support if you believe your account security may have been affected.

For the full explanation of each recommendation, please read How to protect your Graphisoft ID account? Recommended security practices for your account, devices,...

We believe that the best way to protect accounts and data is to work together and take the steps that contribute to stronger security. Security is most effective when it becomes a habit.

The Graphisoft Community can also be a place to exchange security best practices with your peers. If you have additional advice on how you protect your account and company data, please share it when security topics come up in the Community.

Thank you,
Graphisoft IT and Customer Support teams
