Dear Graphisoft Community Members,
We are really excited to announce our plans for this year. There is a lot going on at Graphisoft, and we are working hard to put some new and very exciting changes in place. These changes will bring you closer to the products' pre-release stage, and you will benefit from more transparent and interactive communication.
We’ll publish our product roadmap on our public websites in the coming weeks. If you want to learn more about this subject, please watch our next digital user event - Building Together - Collaborate on April 5 at 2 PM (CET). Check our Community Insights announcement for more details.
In 2023, we will switch to a new, industry-standard release cycle, which will also define our product delivery schedule for the coming years. See the image below for a brief overview of the concept.
Complementary to our traditional, invitation-based beta process, we are introducing an open Technology Preview phase for everyone who would like to try and prepare for the new release hands-on. You’ll get a head-start in the preparation of templates and workflows before it is released. Beta testers will be informed individually about the details of the traditional beta period, which is currently scheduled for June. Details of the public Technology Preview will be shared at the mid-June user event.
The main yearly release of our entire product portfolio, including Archicad 27, DDScad 19, and the fall BIMcloud and BIMx updates is scheduled for the last week of September.
We will publish most of the localized versions at the same time to offer our new solutions in as many countries as possible at the earliest date.
We will also conduct quarterly digital user events called Building Together, where we will share our latest product news and product roadmap updates with you. The highlights of the new products versions and the details of the Technology Preview will be revealed at the mid-June Building Together Event. In the first week of October, just after the release, we’ll conduct in-depth product demo sessions and live Q&A panels with product experts to answer all your questions about the new releases.
These improvements offer the following benefits:
Further improved product quality by applying rigorous beta testing principles and allowing significantly more users to test our products during the public Technology Preview period.
More time for a successful version migration with the option to test our products before the official release. With this step, we allow you several weeks to refine your company standards, defaults, templates, libraries, and test critical workflows from July to September.
Quicker roll-out for global firms, requiring multiple-language versions, will be possible with the release and availability of multiple localized versions at the same time.
Following software industry standards in our yearly release calendar will enable us to support the upcoming new Mac and Windows operating systems more efficiently.
Positioning our key events and releases outside of the holiday season will hopefully be more convenient for you to participate in our Building Together conferences.
An overview of our 2023 release timeline is pictured below. Note that these dates may change as we proceed with the implementation and testing. Please read our posts here on Graphisoft Insights regularly about upcoming events and product releases.
We look forward to seeing you at our next Building Together Event and hope you will enjoy trying out and using our new solutions in 2023.
If you want to share your thoughts with us and the Community, please leave a reply under this post.
Thank you.
