Dear Customers,
The on-premises BIMcloud release planned for this October, will be the final version supported on macOS. A last maintenance update will follow in spring 2027; after that, future on-premises BIMcloud releases will no longer support macOS.
We know that changes to the platform your team relies on take careful planning. That’s why we’re sharing this update early, so you have time to review your options and prepare with confidence.
Why is this changing?
Current Mac hardware uses Apple silicon processors. On-premises BIMcloud currently relies on Rosetta 2 technology to run on this architecture, and that technology is scheduled to be phased out in 2027. We do not plan to develop a native Apple silicon version of on-premises BIMcloud for macOS. As a result, we are unable to provide a reliable, maintainable macOS platform for future on-premises BIMcloud releases.
Who is affected?
This change affects customers running on-premises BIMcloud on Mac hardware, including customers using BIMcloud Basic on macOS.
It does not affect:
- BIMcloud SaaS customers;
- On-premises BIMcloud installations running on Windows.
What will happen after spring 2027?
Your existing Mac-based BIMcloud installation may continue to operate as long as its current hardware, macOS version, and wider IT environment remain compatible. However, after the final maintenance update in spring 2027:
- No new macOS BIMcloud releases, features, fixes, or platform updates will be provided.
- We cannot guarantee compatibility with future macOS, network, security, or IT-environment changes.
- We cannot guarantee that the installation will continue to operate securely as those environments evolve.
- Customer Support will continue to support the final version in accordance with our support policy. However, Graphisoft development will not be able to investigate macOS-specific issues or provide fixes.
What should I do next?
If you run on-premises BIMcloud on a Mac, we recommend beginning your transition planning now. Depending on your organization’s needs, you can:

Continue using on-premises BIMcloud by moving it to a Windows-based environment.
