This is a follow-up to our previous message (see below the separator line) about the release of the Archicad 28.0.1 Hotfix.
We regret to inform you that we've encountered two issues in the Hotfix. Please find further details below.
- Error Message when Updating Archicad Automatically in the Background on Windows (DEF-22616)
For Windows users, an error message appears after they update directly through the automatic Check for Updates function in Archicad. (You can learn more about the automatic update approach here: Easy Archicad Updates - Graphisoft Community)
However, the update process is completed successfully, and the new version can be used without any issues.
It’s also important to note that users who download and install the Hotfix manually do not experience this problem.
- Space bar – Magic Wand shortcut issue on macOS (DEF-22620)

After installing the Archicad 28.0.1 Hotfix (build 3060), the Space bar keyboard shortcut to activate the Magic Wand does not work on macOS machines.
As a workaround, users can activate the Magic Wand from the Design menu, or by pressing Shift + Space bar and quickly releasing the Shift key. This will enable the Magic Wand as expected.

After evaluating the impact of this issue, we have decided to remove the macOS Hotfix installers (for both Intel and Apple Silicon) from our Updates page.
If a user has already installed the Hotfix but wishes to revert to the previous version due to the identified defect, they can do so by performing a "Repair & Install" of the main release version of Archicad 28 (build 3001). This process restores the previous version without the need for a complete uninstallation.

A new Hotfix, Archicad 28.0.2 (build 30XX), planned for release in a couple of weeks, will address both above-mentioned issues.
Please note that users working in Archicad 28.0.0 (build 3001), Archicad 28.0.1 (build 3060), and the upcoming Archicad 28.0.2 (build 30XX) will all maintain Teamwork compatibility. This means users do not need to worry about the recalled macOS package; they will still be able to collaborate seamlessly with users on Archicad 28.0.1.

The Archicad 28.0.1 Hotfix is now available for both the Full (3060) and Solo (3061) versions. Installers are available for all supported language versions.
Make sure to install this hotfix for Archicad 28, as it addresses visualization, modeling, and other miscellaneous issues. You can review the complete list of improvements on our Release Notes page.
Update installers are available in the Updates section of our website.
With the installation of the Archicad 28.0.1 Hotfix (build 3060), Teamwork compatibility is upheld with the first release version of Archicad 28 (build 3001 or AC28.0.0).
The Check for Updates feature will notify end users about the new version.
