The case of three beams.

Robert Horvath
Booster

If we want to use the SAF workflow, we need to model the carpentry structure with a beam tool.
A frequent connection will generate a completely meaningless collapse.
As long as only two beams meet it is fine.

It would be best if RoofMaker could build the carpentry from column/beam elements.

Of course offsetting the anchor to the edge doesn't help if you want to show the centre axis of the beam.

So Kristian's 1mm offset is best.

C'mon guys. All these work-around show that GS HAS to overhaul the beam tool. Does anyone know if this is on the road-map?

Not for this particular problem that I can see.

I don't think the flexible end cuts will help in this situation.

I would actually consider this more of a bug than a future development.

The raking rafters on there own - perfect.

But introduce the horizontal ridge and the raking rafters now trim to the other side of the horizontal beam.

The junction order should be able to control which beam trims to which beam first.
