Archicad files on Linux/Unix formatted hard drives

Hello!
We are working on a project and accessing all the libraries/standards and working files from a Linux server(Fedora Core 6),we are facing following problems:
1] It takes lot of time to open the files and saving the files back to server.
2] Libraries takes lot of time to load.
3] Working in team work is very slow.
Our server file system type is EXT3.
My basic question is : Can we access archicad data from linux server ??
(100 mbps LAN environment)

Not sure wether all the problems are because of this, but as per the below link. Unix formatted disks were not supported.
