Build 4013 under Monterey

Dave Jochum
Advocate

I couldn't delay a computer upgrade any longer, so I have a new M1 Max Mac with Monterey. I knew, of course, I'd have issues, but I've had none of the problems documented. Here are what I've found with my first hour of work.

Select a newly created slab in plan view results in a crash. Every time.

Select a pre-saved 3D view, change various settings, right click and select "Redefine with Current Settings", and it reverts to former settings. Every time.

Model Views only partially work. I cannot get doors and windows to display properly.

Attempting to move a Trace Reference results in a crash.

I pray build 5000 is near release and it's stable.

Just commiserating...We are experiencing the same crash when moving a trace reference here too, even in Build 5005 (M1 MBP). It is reproducible, but we have apparently identified criteria to reproduce it:

  1. AC does NOT crash while moving a trace reference on the MBP built-in display. Only on an external display.
  2. The crash only occurs if the AC window is "maximized" edge to edge OR native MacOS full screen mode. If the AC application window is reduced to a certain unknown limit, it won't crash when moving a trace reference.
  3. Crash occurs regardless of external monitor connection type (direct HDMI, HDMI via hub, dsiaplyport via hub).
  4. Crash does not occur when resolution on external display is set BELOW 3008x1692
