Does anyone know a video card with virtual desktop?

In Win NT 4.0 with Matrox G400 dual head, you had a useful option called 'virtual desktop'. It was like having double/quadruple desktop on your single monitor. It was very comfortable: you could move the actual screen view with the mouse. Eg.: in ArchiCAD you could work with a double sized program window: on the left side the 2D, filling the whole visible area of the screen, on the right the 3D window (and in the center the tool palette). After Win NT neither of the new Windows drivers for the card supported this function (you could only define shortcuts to simultaneous but separated desktops, wich is not better than switching with CTRL+2/CTRL+3).
My question is: does anyone know a video card with mouse-adjustable virtual desktop?
THX.

To clear up what I mean, I attached a drawing about it.

the only thing i can think off:

NVIDIA gridline display with which you can subdivide the screen into different areas into which appz can maximize. I am not sure i fully understand your question.
