EXTREME CAUTION USING HOTFIX 2325

BACKUP FILES BEFORE INSTALLING HOTFIX 2325.

We have a major issue with hotfix fix 2325.

Basically, once installed, it will delete all all sections, elevations, worksheets and possibly details from the file. They remain available on the floor plan, but cannot be opened, and are not available in the project map or view map. Therefore, they are gone for good!!!

Have reported this to our Dealer; Bite, and await a response.

Anyone have the same problem?

We are running mac's PPC G5's and Mactel's

We have been requested by graphisoft to confirm that after starting this topic, we have sent graphisoft the relevant files to reproduce the problem described. But we have also found that the problem occurred within a teamwork 2285 hot fix file running on G5's and tiger OS only, where section and elevations have been removed from the project map.

If you have not, would you also upload that other file for GS (per their instructions to you) as soon as possible? If there is indeed a problem with the hotfix rather than your files, GS needs your files ASAP.

Hotfix 2 (build 2325) has so many bug and crash fixes that all users should move to it. But, your experience definitely suggests taking the extra precaution of backing up projects before using 2325.

Thanks,
Karl

We are very concerned about cadaron's file corruption problem, and we are investigating it with top priority. Still, I would like to point out that the problem does not seem 2325 specific. Besides our regular QC process, we have also released this Hotfix to several large customers before the official release, who are using this version in production since a couple of weeks now. That makes us confident that this problem is not generic.

The best topic dialog I ever read on ArchiCAD Talk.
