Epson vs HP ploters on winXP

My faithful old HP 350C just passed on to hardware heaven. I suspect I am looking at something like a new HP DesignJet 500, but I was wondering about an Epson Stylus Pro 7600. Any thoughts or recommendations would be welcome, but I had two questions:

I don't see a plotter driver for Epson in Plotmaker. Is this because ArchiCAD thinks of Epson as just a big printer or is there a problem here?

Epson 7 color ink cartridges worry me a bit. Keeping the old HP topped off with only 4 in colors was a serious financial drain. Is an Epson going to be worse?
