You're welcome. It is almost sounding like something with your router at home. Is it possible that you had set up port forwarding on the router for your XP machine? If so, you will have to do the same for your Mac's local IP address (192.168.xx.yy) in the router security panel, which is usually reached by
http://192.168.0.1 or
http://192.168.1.1 depending on if you have a separate DSL modem, etc...

Network browsing in general is painfully slow on XP, and instantaneous on OS X - one of the 100's of reasons I switched to Mac this year. The following old tip is not what you want - it is about speeding up WIBU access on Windows for a local USB plug (windows otherwise SLOWLY scans all of those other ports):

But, perhaps there is something in the WIBU settings dialog - when displayed with all options as in the article above - which lets you specify the exact IP address of the server, which would eliminate some searching.
