i am not a mac guy (yet). 
look over the previously mentioned topic, maybe be more specific with your problems. 
most people that have had problems have been instructed to deinstall/reinstall, preferably a 'clean' uninstall.

1.) Close ArchiCAD and all other running applications. 
2.) (notice: the word "clear" in the next few commands, mean that the user may back up these files to the desktop via a Copy) 
a.) Clear AC 8 pref's and cache:
