Possible ArchiCAD Memory Leak Problem?

Morning all, I have a problem running 2 or more instances of ArchiCAD at the same time. This is a new issue as I've been running the program on my computer for just about a year now and this has only cropped up in the past couple months. Basically the problem is that if I already have one instance of ArchiCAD running and then attempt to open a second, it will, but not without crippling my system. One instance of the program will begin hoggin all the available memory, and I mean all of it. Lets say the file I have open uses about 2.5 gigs of ram, if I open a second file in a new instance, the original will begin to balloon. I watched it climb to 6.5-7 gb in the task manager. The only way to close the ballooning instance is to end its process. I do not know what is causing this but it's impeding my ability to work. Any ideas?

I have heard of this in 17 & 18 (known problem there) but haven't heard of this affecting version 16.

And here is another that mentions a problem with Nvidia cards which I see you have.
