Apple released macOS 26 Tahoe on September 15, 2025. We are thoroughly testing it to ensure compatibility with our products. Based on our current tests, Archicad operates with the issues listed below.
We are not aware of any critical issues. However, please hold off on upgrading your Mac for now.
We will update this article with the latest news while testing macOS 26 Tahoe.
Affected version(s): all Archicad versions | ID: DEF-22356
Issue
When attempting to render an image with Cineware or change the Surface Settings for the Cineware engine, it returns an error: "Cineware by Maxon add-on has unexpectedly closed.". This issue was first found in macOS 15 Sequoia.
Workaround
Restart your device. If it does not help, replace the Cineware folder (/Applications/Graphisoft/<Archicad version>/Cineware) with the working one.
Solution
The fix for this issue is planned for Archicad 30. We’re also looking into backporting it to earlier supported versions, but this isn’t confirmed yet. In the meantime, please use the suggested workaround and contact support if the issue persists. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

While we are still in the active phase of testing BIMcloud, we are not aware of any critical issues so far.
Please note that there is a new security feature (introduced on Sequoia) that blocks network searching. Make sure to authorize Archicad on the local network to access BIMcloud from Archicad.
Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network and enable this setting for all Archicad versions.
We are not aware of any issues in BIMx Desktop 2025.6760 or newer.
Should you decide to upgrade, please follow the upgrade checklist below.
