Hi Lec,
In my work environment level of fractions are set to down to 1/16".
There are several places in the Project Preferences dialog where you can set the fractions. The one you need to set for data input to objects is labeled Working Units and Levels > Model Unit. Is it possible that this one is set to 1/8"?

Hi Andrew
Yep that's what I missed, thinking I had corrected it, (in wrong place).
As soon as I checked back at pg 65 (chamfer) somehow it knew that 1/16" was what I had last attempted, and it could now be 1/16" , and so it changed itself:--))
And I was glad to see the gap as 1/16" looked very similar your 0 gap parameter.
I guess in this I've learned a bit of inflexibility in AC(model) and gdl.
I think I will have to learn to live with 1/8" in gdl because I don't want to have to deal with 1/16ths in model....wait....hold the presses...what if..
in the master(or some other way) script (as Roberto hinted?) there was a statement that said or implied; 0 is > 0 ??; or something like that?
Is that how you got gap that says 0;(but isn't) in the script I downloaded (and did not modify), at first?
But I did check your master script and found nothing there.
Sorry to be such a pest. And I bet you'll be glad when I get to page 504?

Roberto,
I'm still analyzing at what you said.

Hi Lec,

I admire the effort you're putting in to learn GDL. It's a lot to take in, and of course you will have questions along the way. It would be great to run a workshop or short course, but that's not practical right now. The forum is a good stand-in.

Well you're more than 10% of the way to page 504. As you go on I think the learning curve will become more gentle.

On page 116 in the discussion of 2D splines, I mention some vehicle tracking curves I was working on at the time. These tracking curves have now been published as a free tool on the Cadimage Tools website. You can view a simple demo of the tool on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-h7WeKTjf4.

I'm not sure why there's a price difference, but I know which option I'd go for!
