Cannot Paste Image into Preview Picture

I've been trying to work through the Archicad GDL tutorial Alvar Aalto Coffee table example. My problem is that I am unable to paste the image into the Picture Preview window of the GDL Master Window. Every time I "Copy" "Edit" the 3D image I get the "Warning" Clipboard empty choose cut or copy. I must have attempted this 20 times with no success. What gives??? Need Help!

Thank you Karl & Peter, I finally got it to work. The only thing that stands out that I know wasn't showing up in the Tutorial was 3D window settings. I set to 128 by 128 pixels, than did an edit copy from the 3D view. I'm glad to hear someone else say that sometimes these Tutorials don't provide all the information to make it happen.
Again a big thanks and keep of the good work!

Same Theme, I have fills saved as objects. I thought I could just select those fills, copy them, then paste them into the objects preview window. But what ever I do I get the same message ""Warning" Clipboard empty choose cut or copy".Obviously this is not the way to do it. Anybody like to enlighten me? Thanks
Graphisoft changed the default setting in the Windows registry back in version 10 because there was an issue with copy and paste locking archicad in previous versions.

Read this link and it might help you out.
I'm not sure what you need to do if anyone on a Mac is having the same trouble but it must be possible to change the default setting somewhere.
