Change default materials of an object.

Hello everyone..
I want to know if it is possible to change the default materials of a gsm object. I use this free site archibase.net to download objects and I use some of archicad library but I dont like the default materials (in archibase objects they all come in grey color - I dont know why). I want to open them as objects in archicad and save them again.
I used the library -> save selection as, but then it didnt save the 4-5 materials options. It gives me only one material after that. I cannot say it right Im sorry..
any help appreciated!

SELECT THE OBJECT IN PLAN THEN CTRL+SHIFT+O AND OPEN THE GDL EDITING WINDOW . MODIFY THE DEFAULT MATERIALS AND SAVE THE OBJECT. IF THE OBJECT IS IN A COINTAINER LCF. LIBRARY YOU MUST FIRST EXTRACT THE CONTAINER IF YOU DONT WANT TO DUPLICATE THE OBJECT WITH ANOTHER NAME.
