Corner Window

Hi,

I'm wondering whether anyone might be able to help me.

I'm trying to create a frameless glass butt joint corner window with one of the windows having an angled head and the other having a horizontal, please see the attached image.

Is there a way of doing this or do I have to model a library part.

Thanks in advance.

Walter

Hi Vistasp
I think the article is a bit off.
In the corner window example by Gideon there is no Ribbon Window 16 in Special Windows
that I could find, (but then again, I'm on U.S. version).
I did find under Fixed windows 16 > W Ribbon 16 but it does not have a glass option under Custom Corner as article points to.
What did work was Wood Windows >Fixed Windows 16 > W Fixed 16; as attached.
But maybe someone could lead me to Ribbon Window 16 which has a Glass option, as I think that might be better suited for multiple panes in a curved wall, like in the article?.

Thanks for the tutorial link. There isn't the option to have a angled head using the ribbon window, or is there?

Hi Lec,

This functionality seems to have disappeared in the US library but here's a screenshot for the INT version of Ribbon Window 16 and the glass connection is still available. I think you guys need to protest against the discrimination. 😉 Also, in the INT library, it shows up under Special Windows 16

Walter, I guess your mileage will depend on what settings the Australian library allows.

While I understand the need for regional libraries with different defaults in different countries, I cannot fathom why the functionality of otherwise identical objects should vary like this.

Lec:

Try the Search View and download the Ribbon Window, it has the glass option.

Walter:

The Corner Window uses the same window on both sides of the corner, so one side cannot be different than the other. You will need some type of custom solution.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
