GDL Training guide problem

I was hoping someone might be able to explain way the GDL Training guide
758mb file won't run.
When trying to execute the .exe file it seems to flashes a old dos screen for half a second then goes away.
Properties of the file seem to say dos.
My compatibility can only seem to be set to go back to win 95.
Any clues on how to get this guide to run?
Is it suppose to only run in dos mode?????

This is what the screen looks like for approx 1/2 second or so before disappearing.
It's suppose to be windows.exe file, so why is it flashing a Dos type screen!!

Bier, this could be a DOS-based self-extracting file. Once expanded it'll probably populate a number of folders with PDF, .pln & video files. At least that's how it was before.

The fact that the (presumed) extraction isn't happening could mean a faulty download. I don't know what your internet connection is like but the though of downloading 750MB again, would make me , , & !!!

Have you thought of getting it via torrent?

I did use the "fast" torrent download method.
All seemed to go normal, but then again, who knows??
I did not see other populated folders, I'll look again.
Bad download just may be it, guess I'll redo.

I've had a couple of torrents go "bad" in the past but could never pinpoint the cause.

Let us know what happens.
