Garden gate in fences?

I found individual gates which you can download but it's then independent from our garden fence.

How does everyone else model garden gates?

You can create a door within a wall that that's the same height and length as the gate or just use a section of fence. I haven't found any gates that are well designed

Yes, they are independent elements (objects).

Stop the fence (object or railing) either side of the gate and insert the gate object.

Or a wall with a door object as Tim mentioned.
