Graphic interface !

When Graphisoft will bring to us (inside AC) a graphic GDL editing interface for fast creation of 2D and 3D parametric objects ?

I hope very soon! Whatever happend to the GDL Toolbox? From what I can read / find out, it seems that it was exactly what we need. Was it comparable to revit's family editor? Why was it discontinued / and why hasn't GS picked up on it? Does ArchiForma replace the GDL Toolbox? Can we have an improved GDL Toolbox that can top the revit's family editor funcitons inside of standard AC???

This should be the next biggest agenda for GS in my opinion. Should be a simple enough solution to quiet all those people saying "I am an architect and not a programmer. That's why revit is better..."

I think the best combination of freemodeling and ArchiCad today is to buy Cinema4d.

I think plugins and softwares like Cinema4D and Archiforma, could do a lot for free modelling stuff. But the parametric subject could not be achieved.
For example, simple 2D stuff, like parametric windows markers, level markers, and others... Like a "Custom Settings" tab full of options.

I agree with the idea of GDL graphic editor but it is not so easy task.

You might say well Revit can do this... well, if you wanted to create something at the level of parametric complexity as eg AC standard library door or window in Revit you would probably poop your pants.
It can get very complicated sorting all reference planes and dimensions graphically and you can end up (and you will) at the point of an absolute mess where nothing works at all.

Simple and even parametric objects can be done by copying/pasting or saving model from AC. You can still add a few lines of code (I am talking about literary 3 or 4 lines of a simple code) to make it more parametrically flexible.

It is really critical - I use GDL for years and really like to have an option to get down to the code level, but for everyday use simplified graphic interface for object building is priceless! Let me remind you about a failed experiment in mid 90-ties; we had a start-up with Graphic GDL. Yes it was Dead-on-Arrival, but if someone continuously worked on it since then we would be far ahead. There is some very good pieces here and there: Objective; 3D Profiler and so on. Could someone bring it together (Buy or something) and put it in the basic ArchiCAD as integral part. Object building is a critical part of Parametric-Object-Based-CAD and inserting parameters need to be faster/simpler at least on a basic level and now, when it is no longer novelty and we have competition it needs to happened!
