HELP!!! CURTAIN WALL HELL!!

I am in dire need of any help on curtain walls...particularly with double doors! Why are they objects and not drawn like walls as in EVERY OTHER PROGRAM?? Also, why is it that when you put in the length parameter it has no effect whatsoever on the wall? I need to do one with a standard double door centered...I've spent over 2 hours trying to get it to work right...with NO AVAIL!! Just when I start bragging about how great AC is compared to anything else...

You can make curtain walls by assembling doors and windows into a wall. This is how most firms I know do it. Depending on the parts you use you can adjust and fit everything quite easily in elevation and 3D (each has its advantages).

You have to have the right parts though.
As a woodsy traditional residential person I probably should stay out of it, but I did have a glass box to do recently.

Rather than cutting holes (glazing) in a thick (mullions) wall, I used one big wall for the glazing and ran beams and columns though it for the mullions. (This is in 10, so I used multistory walls and columns.) The beams and columns cut the wall naturally. I found I preferred moving the 'bars' around in 3D, rather than stretching a lot of holes. For the doors I used the plainest door I could make, placed directly in the glass wall.

Or, I don't know what I'm talking about.
