How do i add IFC and other properties to my custom objects?

Hello everyone,

I'm currently working on a library file using GDL for the company i work for with a series of different objects. I want to add property information and IFC information to those objects so that when people download those objects all the correct information is already stored within the object. But i have no clue how i can achieve that

I don't think you can.

I think that information is only available for a placed instance of the object?

The best you can do is set up favourites that contain that information.

Hello Jeffrey

I had the same problem. I think the only solution to this is to create favorites. These can be exported as .prf files like GDL objects can be exported as .gsm files. Users will then need to import both the .prf file and the .gsm file into their ArchiCAD file.
The distribution of these objects also works via the BIMcloud.

Cheers,
