The section will only show hidden line views, not shaded or rendered ones. You can copy and paste shaded views from the 3D window into the section as a scaled drawing. A rendered view can only provide a bitmap which will have to be scaled (by stretching) to match the section. (You are aware that the 3D window can be set to view the model in elevation, I assume.)

You can fake it by using the 3d window.
Defining the perspective view to side view (for elevations) or using the 3d cutaway command for rendered sections.
Of course you'll lose texts and dimensions. But for that bring the image back to plan or a S/E view and place the dim./texts as you wish.
