It'd be a waste to use AI only for making work easier!
I asked an AI, "Could you do something like this?" — and now a game runs inside Archicad's 3D window.
Check out the video first.
■ What's going on behind the scenes (roughly)
1. When you press a key, a small control panel (Python) calculates the game
2. The result is sent to Archicad's "front desk" — the Tapir add-on
3. The ground, the trees, the characters — they're all GDL objects made by AI. The front desk just rewrites parameters like "character position". It repeats this about 12–20 times per second, and that's what makes it look like it's moving
4. The camera can't be moved directly from outside, so I put small markers in the corners of each room and use "Fit in Window" on them to switch the view room by room
■ Environment
Archicad 30 (Japanese version) / Tapir 1.7.0 / Python 3 / AI: Claude Code
■ A few words
It's just for fun, but "controlling Archicad from outside" and "animating GDL through parameters" lead straight into real-world automation.
I think this approach could really shine in project presentations with Archicad, too.
Give AI a try and have some fun with it!
