Hi all,
I wanted to explore a different use for Design Options in Archicad: presenting movement through a sequence of model states.
With support from ChatGPT-6 Astra, I developed a workflow covering model preparation, Design Option setup and image exports.
For this experiment, a Tesla Roadster approaches a ramp, climbs it, rotates in the air and lands. Each vehicle pose is stored as a separate Design Option, while the ramp and surrounding scene remain in the Main Model.
The workflow:
120 vehicle poses across 120 Design Options
One fixed camera throughout the sequence
Images exported directly from Archicad at 3840 × 2160
Exported frames assembled into a looping GIF and a 4K video
The result is a short motion sequence built from actual Archicad model views, with AI assistance throughout the workflow.
Beyond this playful example, I’m interested in how the same approach could communicate assembly sequences, construction stages or changes within a design.
“And yes, I may have been looking for a fun excuse to burn a few tokens. 😄”

Hi,
In regard to what you said about sequencing, I really wish GS would bring back the construction simulator.
Having a visual representation of the on-site works on a week by week basis would be of use to some of us.

Hi @Sefa Yakut,
Very fun & insightful work, did it take you hours to accomplish this fantastic result?

Hi @Mahmoud Qenawi,
First, after about 38 minutes of work, I’d say it created a base model with geometries that weren’t quite accurate. Then, after about an hour of work—even though I didn’t want it to—it exported the animation and render from Blender and arrived at this result.
I’m also attaching the images generated by the AI in Blender.

Interesting @sefa
A new approach into simulation, don't know how far it can be helpful other than construction simulation.
