Own objects

Hi,

I know you can save your own custom objects by File -> Libraries -> Save selection....
BUT it only saves the object in this project if i open a new project (new archicad) then there is just the embedded library and no objects in it what i have made. Do i have to save them some other place to be able to use objects what i have made in other projects to?

I have ArchiCAD 16 SE

Also how can i add my own materials/colors into it. And how can i get m2 of an slab when im using like 10 different sizes of slabs how can i get m2 of each one of them.

Thank you.

When saving your object you will have the option to save in a selected folder.

If you have already saved in the embedded library you can open the Library Manager and export the selected objects into a folder on your system.

veljo001:

In addition to Barry's advice, embedded library parts can be exported: open the Library Manager, open the Embedded Library folder, select the part(s) to export, then click the Export embedded subtree into local folder button (looks like a floppy disk).

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
