Unfortunately Solid Element Operations do not show in plan.
You could show the slab in plan rather than the object - this will give the outline shape.
Or you could convert your object to a morph but you will lose all object parameters and the SEO slab will no longer be needed.
It may be harder to edit as a morph though if you need to make further changes.
So it is a good idea to keep a copy of the original object and SEO slab in a hidden layer for further editing.
