Just grab the node of the railing reference line in 3D, and use the 'move node' pet palette option to move it vertically (or any other direction as well).

Versions 6.5 to 27
i7-10700 @ 2.9Ghz, 32GB ram, GeForce RTX 2060 (6GB), Windows 10
Lenovo Thinkpad - i7-1270P 2.20 GHz, 32GB RAM, Nvidia T550, Windows 11

the two methods mentioned above do not allow me to set railing slope please be more specific in how to do such, associated seems to be for level to level and the pet pallet only lets me move the entire railing up down left to right but does not allow for changing the angle to match a slope attached is picture of what Archicad 19 allowed us to do with railing and i can't seem to do that any more

That is a railing object back in version 19.

What version of Archicad are you using?

Those objects no longer exist in current versions unless you have an old file with the migration libraries loaded, or you are still using an old version before 21. when the railing tool was added.

The new railing tool is completely different.

You don't have a single railing with a slope.

You add nodes to the base line (reference line) just as you can for a polyline.

You can then use the pet palette 'move node' option to move the node in X, Y or Z direction.

Maybe watch the videos on Archicad YouTube channel about the railings.

thanks that video helped I am in 26. Side note I tried doing what you are showing and it would not let me do that, your pet pallet is different from mine see attached. Do you know why I've looked for other pet pallets but that is the only one poping up

for some reason i go the pet pallet you are showing now, i had to create a new rail with an extra node.

The pet palette that is displayed will depend exactly where you click.

If you don't get exactly the node, you will not see options to move the node.

Having said that, I am sure sometimes I have clicked the correct spots and not had the expected pet palette options.

Sometime you just have to try again or do something else or rotate/move the view and try again.
