User Interface Picture - How to Embed in the Object?

Anonymous

Hello,

I am trying to create a simple object and add a background picture in the interface script, using ui_pict command. Is there a way to embed this picture in the object, so that I don't have to load the image in the library?

Thank you in advance,
Adrian Tudoreanu

Hi Karl,

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. To be honest, I was afraid you'd send me to that thread (I saw it before posting my question and some words like "xml" and "LibDevToolKit" discouraged me - yes, I am quite a novice in this area).
I will do more research on this and hopefully I will get to the bottom of it.

Hello,

You can embed pictures in the GSM file by
placing the picture(s) in the floor plan, selecting
them and saving selection as object (GSM).

The saved object contains the pictures in binary
format and you can refer to them by an index
number 1,2,3,etc. depending on how many pics
you saved.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, Juha. I managed to do what you said and, based on the thread Karl directed me to, I successfully transferred this picture to another object.

Thank you both,
