yesterday
Hello guys!
I was excited to read about the Global Library in Archicad 28 as it would solve an inconvenience in my workflow. I loved using the German/Swiss Door and Window tools as they provide more detail to the project and you're add more automatic information to each window without the need for labels or text. At first I couldn't find out how to use those library elements but after some digging I found this article that points out information for the library packs for different language templates:
https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/Libraries-objects/Default-Library-Packs-in-Each-Archicad-Languag...
Simply put, we can now use the different library elements of all language packs with their custom tools inside them. All you have to do is:
Go to File> Libraries and Objects > Library Manager > Add... and add your desired library module (In this case, Doors and Windows DACH.libpack)
To my amazement, you actually get a translated version ( I expect this is all integrated with autotext references for every parameter). I am not sure if this will be true for all modules as the Window and Door tools had been pointed out in the marketing for the Global Library and may have been worked on in more detail. I am writing this post to hopefully help someone that might have this niche problem and point out the differences between the language packs that could be useful to some users in their future work.
