door markers don't show up for windows above cut plane

any ideas? they are clerestory windows and I have them as "projected with overhead." When I change them to "symbolic" or "overhead all" the markers show up but not with "projected" or "projected with overhead." What are you guys' settings for showing and labeling windows above the cut plane?
