edit custom window

Hello!
Is there a way to edit a custom made window or door?
I know I can edit its parameters, but what if it has some unusual shape and I need to change a part of its form?

If you made a door / window on the floor plan then saved it out as a custom door / window / etc, I would put these model elements onto a hidden layer or negative story. In this way, if any changes are required, you can modify said elements then resave it out.
