It appears to be a problem with the libraries, but reloading the 6.5 library produces no changes.
Deleting the invalid parameters window and installing a new window solves the problem until the model is next opened when 'invalid parameters' reappears.
Has this come up before? I've done a search for this without success.
Can anyone explain what is happening?
Mac G4.

I've had the invalid parameters warning before. What I do when upgrading to a new version of ArchiCAD is to create an archived file of the project.
First open your project file and replace any library part that has an "invalid parameter" with a library part from the 8.1 library. Then save the project as an archived project, selecting to save only the active library parts. When you open this archive file it will create a new library. Load only this new project library and the 8.1 library.
